In Gemeente Echt-Susteren there are about 3700 registered dogs. All these dogs together produce no less than 30.000 kilos of feces per year. This dog poop naturally ends up in various places in public space: on the street, sidewalks, lawns and other green spaces. With the help of its residents, Gemeente Echt-Susteren has drawn up a dog policy that is aimed at creating and maintaining quality of life in all neighborhoods in Echt-Susteren.
